During summer 2008, I got a summer job in an oil company here in Trondheim, Norway. At the same time, my classmate also got a summer job in the same company but in a different city, Stavanger. She asked me to visit her while she was there so that I can stay at her apartment 🙂
I visited her during the weekend. I took flight Trondheim – Oslo and Oslo – Stavanger. I had to sleep over at Oslo Lufthavn since the next flight to Stavanger was in the early morning on Saturday. Yes, another sleep over in the airport, I became more used to it 😀
I arrived early on Saturday morning in Stavanger. Me and my friend Julia walked around the city and took many pictures. Below are some pictures that was taken by her. She is a professional photographer, not like me.. hehehe 😉
On sunday, we went to Preikestolen. (Preikestolen (The Pulpit Rock) is a massive 600 metres vertical cliff that sits on the edge of the Lysefjord. Its top is a natural lookout of several hundred square metres, almost perfectly flat, and the rock is the region’s main tourist attraction, and one of the nation’s landmarks – copied from Om Wiki).
We took ferry from Stavanger harbour, then continued by bus (more than an hour both ferry and bus). From the bus stop, we hiked to the top which took more than two hours (one way) but it was worth the trip.
